Have you ever heard of the sisterhood of the traveling pants?
If not, let me fill you in really quickly.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a movie from a screenplay by Delia Ephron and Elizabeth Chandler, based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Ann Brashares
The story follows four best friends as they spend their first summer apart from one another and they agree to share a magical pair of jeans.
Despite being of various shapes and sizes, each one of them fits perfectly into the pants.
To keep in touch they pass these pants to each other as well as the adventures they are going through while apart.
Now that you’re caught up to speed a little bit, let me tell you about the Traveling Newfie Bandana.
Same basic concept except it’s Newfies sharing a traveling bandana across the United States.
How fun is that?!
The bandana is already making the rounds and it started with one of the founders, onefloofynewfie in Illinois.
It’s already been to Wisconsin, Indianapolis, Rhode Island, Pittsburgh and Virginia!
We’re waiting for it to travel to Ohio one of these days soon.
You can follow along on this fun adventure by following #travelingnewfiebandana on Instagram and if you want to join in on this fun, there are still spots left to sign up and get on the list!
You can join by sending a message to onefloofynewfie on IG and she’ll give you all the details!
This is only available for Newfies living in the United States but that doesn’t mean that our friends across the pond can’t create something similar!
Here are some of the details below if you would like to join:
1. Keep the bandana no longer than 1 week
2. Agree to cover the costs of sending it on to the next Newfie
3. Take a fun photo of your Newf wearing the bandana & share if with the hashtag #TravelingNewfieBandana
I’ll make sure to share our picture when the Traveling Newfie Bandana makes its way to us.
The Traveling Newfie Bandana made its way to us and we had fun taking pictures, and reading the notebook,
Before you send the bandana onto the next Newfie you sign the back of the bandana and leave a note in the notebook,
It’s so fun!
